Appropriate synchronisation and periodisation of endurance training and nutrition enhances the training effects and adaptations (metabolic, physiological etc.) whilst increasing endurance capacity.

Specific nutrient intake before, during and after training/compeition can either enhance or negate the positive effects of training.
